Stephen T. GrubbsMr. Stephen T. Grubbs, 39, slipped into eternal rest on SaturdayAugust 11, 2012 at his residence on Hilton Head Is. SC. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date by Stiney's Funeral Home.Stephen Thayon Grubbs was born January 24, 1973 in Savannah,Ga. He moved to Hilton Head, SC with his parents at theage of 8.  He completed his schooling, graduating from Hilton HeadIsland High School in 1992.  After high school, Stephen attendedSavannah State University majoring in Business Administration before entering the workforce.Stephen was known for his strong and dedicated work ethic.  Hewas a very hard worker that always gave his best no matter thetask. At the time of his death, Stephen was proudly employed atHilton Head Hospital.The Christian life experience for Stephen began at an early age.He was baptized at the tender age of 6 at Mt. Tabor BaptistChurch in Savannah, GA by Rev. Franklin D. Blackshear.Understanding the importance of church home, Stephen and hisparents joined First African Baptist Church shortly after moving toHilon Head Island.Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family.  To his family, hewas known as the "BBQ man" because of this love for "grilling".Although Stephen was not blessed with any children, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Steve" to his many nieces and nephews who cherished and loved him dearly.Stephne was a kind person with gentle heart.  He was a very"easygoing" and humble young man.  Stephen will be rejoicing in heavenwith his loving grandparents, Daniel and Mariah Singleton: brother,Sheldon Grubbs: aunt, Henrietta "Toolie" Hayward and cousin,Lisa Nicole Bryant and other family members who have preceededhim in death.Stephen leaves to cherish his precious memories: parents, Franklin and Rose Campbell; father John Grubbs; sisters;Tonja  M.Singleton John and brother-in-law, Milton A. John, Casandra Ferguson and Shauna Grubbs; bother Kenneth Campbell; great-grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Mitchell: adopted grandmother, Mrs.Mary Young; aunts, Emily Bryant (Wilbert), Ernestine Mitchell,Cassie Mae Frazier, Julene Johnson (Johnnie), Gardenia  Campbell Gloria Uhom (Raymond), Betty Jackson, Doretha Grubbs, Ida MaeWashington, Elizabeth Young and Ethel Lee Young; great aunts,Annie Mae Williams, Helen Glover and Earlene Simmons(Luke); uncles,Solomon Chisholm,Jr. (Eva Ann), Solomon Campbell (Della), Samuel Campbell, Donald Campbell (Rosa), Henry Campbell (Jennifer) Wesley Campbell (Carrie), John Campbell (Angie), William Taylor (Grace), Bobby Grubbs (Emma) and Ossie Grubbs (Dorothy);great uncle,Wesley Young (Bernice); nieces: Shantai Rogers (Jamethro) Katiah John, Candice Ferguson, Chaunda Rawls, Kendra Campbell; nephews, Jaquan and Jacarre Campbell; great nieces, Jade Mariah Rogers,Cadence Moore: great nephews,Jameland Jacobi Rogers, Troy Chisholm Jr.  Richie Moore, III and Aaiden Howell; god mother, Helen Bright; godsisters, Shandrena N.
