Stephen Glover

Mr. Stephen E. Glover, 60, slipped into eternal rest at Our Lady of Perputal Health Home in Atlanta, Ga on Februray 6, 2013.Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be announced at a later date.Mr. Stephen Eric Glover entered this life the fourth of five children blessed to the union of Wesley Jr. and Beatrice Glover on May 31, 1952 in Formore, South Carolina.Stephen accepted Christ at a very early age, uniting with St. Stephens A. M. E. Church in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Stephen graduated from Matthew E. West High School in Hardeeville, SC with honors.  To further his education he enrolled and graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelors degree in Math and computer Science; and Central Michigan University with his Masters Degree. While at South Carolina State he became a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.Stephen enlisted in the U S Army and proudly served his country elevating to the rank of Captain before returing to private life. Stephen worked as director of the Information Technology Center at his Alma Mater, South Carolina State University for many years. He also worked at Xavier University in New Orleans, LA and later Fulton County IS Department in Atlanta, GA. Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Vernetta Stokes Glover, and mother to their six beautiful children.Mr. Stephen Erice Glover leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Thelma B. Glover; six loving and devoted children, Kareem (Carmen) Glover of Raleigh, NC, Rahed (Keliegh) Glover of Augusta, GA, Raishad Glover of Montgomery, AL Nekkeya Glover of Fort Campbell, KY, NeeCole Glover of Montgomery, AL, and Darius (Juliet) Glover of Columbia, SC; one step-daughter, ShaRon Boyce of Winston-Saem, NC: fifteen grandchildren; one sister, Gwendolyn Glover of High Point, NC: three brothers, Donald(Yvonne) Glover of Springfield, VA, Daniel (Geneva) Glover of Atlanta, GA, and Benjamin (Rachel) Glover of Stone Mountain, GA; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
