Samson Dash Obituary

Samson Dash Mr. Samson Dash, 57, slipped into eternal rest at his residenceon July, 25, 2012. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be announced at a later date by Stiney's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 7-8pm at Second African Baptist Church, 123 Houston St. SavannahGa. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am August 1, 2012 at Second African Baptist Church, Savannah Ga. Interment: Woodville Cemetery Savannah Ga.Mr. Samson Dash, Sr. was born on July 18,1955 in Washington, D. C. to Mr. Harry and Mrs. Minnie Belle Dash.  He was the thirdchild of thirteen children and was predeceased by siblings Ms.Shirley Dash, Mrs. Harriet Thompson, Mrs. Loretta Russell, Mr.Ronald Dash, and Mr. Sylvester Dash."Sam", as he was affectionately known, graduated from EasternHigh School in Washington, D.C. and was employed by HomeDepot in Savannah,GA.Sam gave his life to the  Lord at age 45, being a prime examplethat it is never too late to give one's life to Jesus Christ.  He was baptized and became a member of the Second African BaptistChurch under the leadership of Pastor James Cantrell. Bro. Dashwas a faithful member of he Ushers' Ministry.Sam was a giving and unselfish person.  When called upon to help someone, he was there.  He was a "jack of all trades", always willing to lend a helping hand  to those in need.  He willbe truly missed by those who knew and loved him.Samson leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife of thirty-two (32) years, Mrs.Cheryl Pugh Dash: two children born to thisunion - Mr. Samson Dash,Jr. and Ms. Shanice  D. Pugh, both ofSavannah,GA; his  parents, Mr. Harry & Ms. Minnie Belle Dashof Washington, D.C.; a sister, Ms. Teresa Dash of Washington, D.C.: brothers-Mr. Andre (Sheila) Dash,Mr. Aaron (Quanda) Dash, Mr. Donald Ricardo (Romona) Dash, all of Washington D.C. and  Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Edwards of Atlanta, GA: a wonderful mother-in-law- Mrs. Johnnie Mae Pugh; a sister-in-law, Ms. Faye Pugh and Ms. Selena Ellis of Orlando, FL: brothers-in-law - Mr. Nathaniel (Jestine) Pugh; Mr. Garrett (Bessie) Pugh, and Mr. Randall K. Pugh; aunts - Mrs. Rhetta Murray and Mrs. Christine Pugh; three uncles - Mr. "Peach Pie" of Orangeburg, S.C., Mr. Leroy (Eddie) Chisholm, Mr. Charles (Alfreda) Coxon, both of Savannah, GA; a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowful friends.
