Raymond German Sr Obituary

Mr. Raymond German Sr. Rev.  Raymond German Sr. 79, slipped into eternal rest at CoastalCarolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC on November 16, 2012.  Visitiation: 7-8pm Tuesday, at St Mark Baptist Church, 131Bellinger Hill SC. Funeral: 12 Noon Wednesday, November 21,2012 at Greater Pentecostal Temple, 5905 South Okatie Hwy, Hardeeville SC. Interment: Cummingsville Cemetery, Bellinger Hill SC.Rev. Raymond German, Sr. was born on September 15, 1933, the late Henry and Julia German of Hardeeville (Bellinger Hill Community), South Carolina.  He later married the late Martha B.German in 1956.  They were married for 56 blessed years. RaymondGerman, Sr. was licensed to function in the ministry on November9, 1997 and was dedicated to the work of the Lord.  He was installed as Pastor of the St. Mark Baptist Church in Bellinger Hill,South Carolina on December 31, 2005 and served faithfully for many years until his health declined.Rev. German was a native of the Levy Community of Hardeeville,South Carolina, where he attended the public schhols of JasperCounty, South Carolina.  He also attended he Morris CollegeSeminary Education School of Bethel Baptist Church in Pineland,SC.Rev. German worked for the International Longeshoreman Association until he retired on Januaty 1, 1996 after many years of faithful employment.Rev. German was sincere, dedicated,and faithful man of God.  He was truly loved and well-respected by his family and community.He devoted his time to visiting the sick and leading lost souls to Christ.  Then on Friday, Novermber 16, 2912, at Coastal CarolinaHospital, he slipped into eternal rest.He leaves behind his memories to cherish, his six children: Raymond German, Jr., Gerald German (Johnell), Jeanette Badger(Randy), and Eugene German (Gail), all of Hardeeville, SC, RodneyGerman (Yvette) of Lillington, NC and Prophetess Detra Germanof Virginia Beach, VA; sisters: Annabelle Paul Wright (James) of Hardeeville, SC/Tampa, FL, Geneva Dunston (Elder Gurtha) ofBahama, NC, Rebecca Walker and Florence German of Savannah,GA and Claretha German of Hardeeville, SC: brothers: Jessie German (Ethe) of Tampa, FL, Robert German, Sr. (Dorothy) andWilliam German, both of Hardeeville, SC; sisters-on-law; Roselee Midgett and Elizabeth Jefferson of Hardeeville, SC, Georgeanne James of Savannah, GA; brother-in-law: Edward Jefferson  of Hardeeville, SC; thirteen grandschildren; four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
