Mrs. Willie Mae Brockington, 84, slipped into eternal rest on Sunday,October 27, 2013 at Ridgeland Nursing Center. Visitation will be 7-8pm Friday, November 1, 2013 at Stiney's Chapel 70 Stiney Rd, Hardeeville, SC. Funeral service will be held 11am SaturdayNovember 2, 2013 at Lovely Hill Baptist Church, 204 Lovely HillBaptist Church, 204 Logan St. Ridgeland, SC. Interment: GrahamvilleCemetery Ridgeland, SC.Willie Mae Brockington was born May 1, 1929, to the late Mabel Jackson andWillie Edwards in Beaufort, South Carolina.  She was the granddaughter of thelate Dora and George Brockington.Willie Mae was a member of Lovely Hill Baptist Church.  She worked at theBarkley Hotel in New York, New York for 20 years.  For twelve years, sheworked as a Home Health Aide.Willie Mae had four children, the late Johnnie Brockington, Thomas Jones,Jr.,Yvonne Hale, and James Brockington, two sisters: Dora Bennett andWaltham Barker;grandchildren: Tyrone Hale, Cherished Brockington, Jr., Sammie Work, Jasmine Brockington, Bess Brockington, and Carol BrockingtonThomas; great grandchildren: Azalia Griffin and Benjamin Brown; cousins:Harry Brockington, Ann, Barbara, Robert, Richard, Sheila Brockington,Jr.;two daughters-in-law: Yvonne and Nancy Brockington; host of family andFriends, too numerous to mention.
