Mr.Herman Bentley

Mr. Herman Bentley, 73, slipped into eternal rest on October 29, 2013 at Candler Hospital, Savannah, GA. Herman Bentley was born February 28, 1940, in Hardeeville, South Carolina toThe late I saith and Maggie Bentley.  Herman was educated in the publicSchools of Jasper County.He late moved to Detroit, MI, where he was employed with General Motors for 32 years and retired in 1993.Herman loved music, playing cards, laughing, talking to family and friends,farming and taking care of his pigs.On April 10, 2003, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Shirley Collins.  TogetherThey bonded with their children from previous marriages.  One daughter,Denise Pinckney; a very special nephew, Julius Bentley, and a brother, IsiahBentley, preceded him in death.He returned to his childhood church in August of 2006, where he served untilHis health failed.On Tuesday, October 29, 2013, God in his infinite wisdom, summoned him to eternal rest.He leaves to cherish his memories,a loving wife, Shirley the Bentley of Hardeeville, SC; ten children, twenty five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, two sisters-in-law, two very special daughter-in-law,  a special cousin, Jr. Riley (Henry); a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
