1938 Obituary 2011  Mary Harris, oldest daughter of the late Rev. Marion Aiken Sr. and Theresa B. Aiken was born June 21,1938 on Hilton Head Is. SC. She was baptized at an early age at Queen Chapel AME Church of Hilton Head Is. SC.Mary was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn A. James, one sister Maybell A. Graham and one brother, Marion Aiken Jr.Sylvia as she was called attended the local school of Beaufort County and was a graduate of jthe class of 1957 from Michael C.Riley High School. She was a loving person with a great spirit,smile and had a passion for music.She leaves to cherish her fondest memories, two granddaughters, Natashia C. Aiken of Hilton Head SC and Tenisha D. James of Nashville TN, one grandson; Micheal T. James Jr.(Alisha) of Nashville TN, two great grandchildren; Jeremy T. Barron and Micheal James, one sistere; Martha A. Davis(Jerome) of Hardeeville SC, two brothers; David Aiken Sr.(Estella) of Hilton Head SC and Joseph Grant of Rincon GA, fouruncles; James Aiken of Miami FL, Joseph Aiken (Ruth) of HiltonHead SC, William Aiken (Juliette) of Miami FL and Peter Aiken (Georgia-Ann) of Hilton Head SC, five aunts; Laura A. Hayward of Savannah GA,Ida A. Steward (Benjamin) of Hilton Head SC,Elease A White, Evelina A White (James), Almetha A. Frazier(Harold) all of Savannah Ga and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and other relatives and friends.
