Mr. Leroy Young, 85, slipped into eteranl rest on April 17, 2013 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville SC.Visitaton will be 7-8 pm Tuesday April 23, 2013 at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 3709 Okatie Highway, Bluffton SC.Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 24, 2013 at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Interment: Parker Cemetery Hardeeville SC.LEROY, the son of the late Deacon Andrewand Maggir(Roxcy) NilesYoung was born April 10, 1928 and reared on his parent's farm in Levy, SC.  He has two surviving siblings: Deaconess Lillie Mae Rileyof Hardeeville, SC and Deacon Eugene Young of Pooler,GA.  Threesiblings hae departed this eartly home, Queenie Young, Joe Young and Dorothy Young.  He was employed at CSX railroad and retiredJune 1, 1990.  He followed his famly vision and grew vegetables asa hobby.MARRIAGE, Leroy & Rececca was wed in Holy Matrimony on Sunday, January 27, 1952 by the late Honorable Willie Cook at theJasper County Court House in Ridgeland, SC.CHURCH, Lerory was baptized at St Matthew Baptist Church inPritchardville, SC uner the leadership of the Late Rev. Joseph W.Williams in 1972. For a period of time he served as a deacon atGood Hope Baptist Church.  Later, he returned to St. Matthewunder the leadership of Rev. Donald Sheftall, Sr.  He was a member of the Deacon Broad and Trustee Broad.CIVIC ORGANIZATION: Lerory is a member of Happy Home Lodge #125 and he Cradle- Simmons Consistory.FAMILY:Devoted wife of 61 years, Rebecca F.Young (Hardeevile,SC).Daughter: Shirley Young (Hardeevile, SC)Adopted daughter: Mikiesha Lynard (Hardeeville, SC), Grand-daughter: Amera Lynard (Hardeeville, SC)Sister: Lillie Mae Riley (Hardeeville, SC), Brother: Eugene Young,Pooler, GaMother-in-Law: Jessie Mae Ferguson (Hardeeville,SC)Sisters-in-law: Carrie Bell Young, (Hardeeville, SC), Mable Young,Pooler,GA, Redell Collins, (Hardeeville,SC), Emily Grant (Hardeeville,SC)A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerour play daughers and  sons.
