Lee JenkinsMr. Lee Jenkins,76, slipped into eternal rest on Sunday, June 24,2012 at St. Joseph's Candler Hospital, Savannah GA. Funeralarrangement are incomplete at this time, but will be announced at a later date by Stiney's Funeral Home.Visitation will be held on Friday June 29, 2012 from 7-8 pm at Stiney's Chapel, 70 Stiney Road Hardeeville SC. Funeral servicewill be 11:00 am., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at St. Mark BaptistChurch, 131 Bellinger Hill Road, Hardeeville SC. Interment CooperCemetery, Hardeeville SC.A Time To Be Born: Ecclesiastes 3:2Mr. Lee Jenkins was born on July 20, 1935, the son of the lateJames Jenkins Sr. & the late Viola Jackson-Jenkins of Hardeeville(Levy Community), South Carolina.  Lee was a dedicated memberof the St. Mark Baptist Church in Bellinger Hill, SC where he servedfaithfully as a deacon and church treasurer until his health failedhim.A Time to Live: Issiah 38:36Lee was native of Jasper County, South Carolina and later move to Savannah, Georgia.  He was educated in the public schools of Jasper County, SC.  He worked on mamny different jobs; however,he retired from the Atlanta Gresco Plant in Savannah, GA.A Time To Love:Lee was married to the late Mrs.Lula Gerido-Jenkins for many yearsTo this union was one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Irwin who proced-ed him in death.  Lee also had one son, Larry Gibbs who also pre-ceded him in death.A Time To Die: Ecclesiastes 3:2On Sunday,June 24, 2012, at the Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, the Master called him from labor unto reward. As he departed this mortal world, he shall be missed from the familycircle, church family and from his community.  Lee enjoyed sponsoring boat and bus rides.  He enjoyed listening and singinggospel music.  Further, he enjoyed listensing to Jazz and Blues.  We shall miss him but hope to greet him in heaven where no fare-well tears are shed.A Time To Mourn:Esslesiastes 3:4Lee leaves to cherish his loving memories a brother and sister: Reverend James (Annie Laura) Jenkins, Jr. of Hardeeville (LevyCommunity), SC and Mrs. Marguree (John) Jenkins-Bride of Savannah, Georgia. A special nephew-brother,Deacon Herbert (Martha) Jenkins of Savannah,Georgia. One sister-in-law, Mrs.Jeanette (Benjamin) Gerido-Jones of Savannah, Georgia and onebrother-in-law, Jimmy (Donna) Gerido of Rincon, Georgia.  Lee alsoleaves to cherish the following grandhildren: Detrick (Regina) Irwin and Ms. Chianti Irwin both of Savannah, Georgia, Quame Irwin of Atlanta, Georgia, Shay Irwin and Craig Irwin of Saginaw, Michigan.A very special and devoted caregiver and niece, Ms. Carletta Jenkins of Hardeeville, SC; one God daughter, Mrs. Consuelo Sykesand 4 very special and dear cousins, Mrs. Helen Hamilton, Bloom-ingdale, GA, Mrs. Pearl Wolfe of Ridgefield, New Jersey and Mr. Herman Johnson both of Jersey City, New Jersey, Mr. Willie JamesBrown, Sr., of Hardeeville, SC and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and other relatives and friends.
