Bennett was born April], 1952, to Edith Davis and Mac Sowell in McBee, SC. She departed this life on November 27,2014, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, NY. She was employed by New York State Unified Court System in Criminal Court in Brooklyn, NY for 42 years, as a Senior Office Assistant. She was a loving person and will be truly missed by all that knew her. She was married to Ross Bennett. They had 28 blissful, happy, joyful, wonderful years. They were INSEPARABLE! They loved each other very much and he will never stop loving her. She was his ALL and ALL She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Glenn; two brother-in-laws Johnny Johnson and Luther Bennett and son Tracey Bennett. She leaves to mourn her husband, Ross Bennett; one brother, Floyd Teal; one sister, Vivian Harper; six sons, Kenneth Jerome Glenn, Marvin Bennett, Jeimaine Tolbert, Ocey Bennett, Kyheem (Kim) Patterson; seven daughters, Yolanda GleM, Tonya (Eric) Powell, Roshawn Kelly, Mutesa (Done!!) Johnson, Tiffany Kelly, Sasha Robinson, Ebony Hobbs; three brother-in-laws, Herbert (Glen Dora) Fields, Benjamin (Josette) Johnson, Isaac (Dawn) Bennett; six sister-in-laws, Charlene Annstrong, Delores Bennett, Ida (Danny) Atkinson, Dora Bennett, Shaakira Saffir, Mary (Arthur Lee) Fields; 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grands; two great best friends Bonnie Blackwell and Janice Blackmon who will miss her very much. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and many, many, many friends.
