James Wright Obituary

Mr. James Henry Wright,79, slipped into eternal rest after a short illness at St. Joesph's Hospital, Tampa Fl. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date.Mr. James Henry Wright leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife: Anna Belle, four step-daughters; Dorothea Paul, Claretha Vinegar and Gail (Robert) Ford all of Pontiac, MI and Julia (Lionel) Ford of Port Arthur, TX; one god-daughter: Anastasia Boles of Jacksonville, FL; four brother-in-laws and six sister-in-laws, ten grand children, eight great-grand children, two devoted friends and a host of nephews, neices, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday February 22, 2013 at Stiney's Chapel, 70 Stiney Road Hardeeville SC from 3-5 pm.Funeral service 12:00 noon Saturday February 23, 2013 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 131 Bellinger Hill Rd. Hardeeville SC. Interment: Cummingsville Cemetery Hardeeville SCMr. James Henry Wright was born September 9, 1933 to the lateMary Nixon. At an early age he was adopted by Sylvia Wright. After a short illness, on Thursday, February 14, 1013, he  departed this life at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Fl. He was educated in the Bellinging Hill schools, Jasper County.He went on to attend Denmark Technical schools and obtained his mechanic's license.  In 1953, he entered the US Army and was discharged in 1955.  Upon being discharged, he moved toFlorida and began working as Longshoreman, and later attendedschool to become a electrician.  Following Electrical school, he  became employed with Hillsbrough School Districit as transportation specialist. After he retired from the school system, he worked as a charter bus drive for a short period of time.  He was a faithful member of Mt.Oliver Church. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mary Nixson:his adopted mother, Sylvia Wright: sister, Eloise Wilkerson; one niece, Mary Boles; and two nephews, David Wilson and Demetius Boles.He leaves to mourn: a devoted wife, Anna Belle (his Ann); four step-daughters, Doreatha Paul, Claretha Vinegar, Gail (Robert) Ford, all of Pontiac, MI, and Julia (Lionel) Ford of Port Arthur,TX;one goddaughter, Anastasia Boles of Jacksonville, Fl; three brothers-in-laws, Jessie (Etha) German of Tampa, Fl, Robert (Dorothy) German and William German of Bellington Hill, SC; five sisters-in-laws, Geneva (Gunther) Duston of Bahama, NC, Rebecca Waler and Florence German of Savannah, GA, Albertha German and Claretha German of Bellington Hill, SC; three nephews, Dennise Pinckney, Mark wilson and Edward Wilson, all of Savannah,GA; ten grendchildren; eight great grandchildren; two devote friends; and a host of family members and friends.Visitation on Friday, 22, 2013 from 7-8pm at St. Mark Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SCFuneral service  on Saturday, 23, 2013 @ 12:00pm at St. Mark Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC
