David SaltersDavid Salters,73, slipped into eternal rest on Friday, April 20, 2012at Candler Hospital, Savannah Ga.  Funeral arrangements areincomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date byStiney's Funeral Home.Mr. David Salters 73, died Friday April 20m 2012. Survivors: wife,Marjorie V. Salters; sons Edwin V. Salters (Norma), Daymon E. Salters (Sandy), Anthony C. Salters (Linda) and David O. Salters.Visitation: 7-8 pm, Tuesday at St. Stephen A.M.E. Church, 70 MainSt. Stephen A.M.E.Church Hardeeville. Interment: Beaufort National Cemetery.Sgt. First Class David Salers, son of the late Sidney Salters andElizabeth Salters Wilson, was born June 24, 1938 in Hardeeville,South Carolina.He received his early education in the Jasper County Public SchoolSystem.  He graduated from Jasper County High School.On December 21, 1958 he united in holy matrimony to MarjorieWilliams.  To this union four sons were born.David enjoyed a successful career with the United States Militarywhich he later retired in 1979 with twenty-two years of service.He continued his service by working in the Jasper County SchoolSystem for twenty-one years.He joines St Stephen A.M.E. Church at an early age and was afaithful church member where he served on the usher and trusteeboards.David was a devoted husband,father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He also enjoyed spending time with his loving grandchildrenHe was a man of Humility that has an impact on many lives.On Friday, April 20, 2012, God in his infinited wisdom summonedDavid to eternal rest.Left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are a lovingand devoted wife, Marjorie Salters: four sons: Edwin V. Salters(Norma) of St. Peters, VA, Daymon E, Salters (Sandaria) of Dallas,TX, Anthony C. Salters (Linda) of Tarboro, SC and David O. Salters of Hardeeville, SC; six sisters: Marva Lee (Wilson), Nancy Bing,Vera Salters, Lucille Roberts (Lucious), Vermel Bright (Johnny), and Barbara Jean Wilson of Hardeeville, SC; one brother: Edward Wilsonof Hardeeville, SC; two brother-in-law: Nixon Williams, Jr., and Dickie Williams (Barbara) all of Hardeeville, SC: two sisters-in-law:Andrea Smallwood, and Elouise Guillory of all Hardeeville, SC. Ninegrandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces,nephews, cousins and loving friends.
