Mrs. Carrie Saunders,85. slipped into eternal rest on March 28, 2014 at Jackson North Medical Center, Miami Fl. Visitation will be 7-8 Friday April 4, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2775 North Okatie Hwy, Ridgeland, SC. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m.  Saturday April 5, 2014 at Bethehem Baptist Church. Interment: Jackville Cemetery, Bluffton SC. Mrs. Carrie Mae Saunders was born on January 24, 1929 in Spring Island, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Mitchell and the granddaughter of the late Cain Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Saunders; two children, Warren and Eleanor Mitchell; four brothers: Reverend Ben Mitchell, Leon Mitchell, Prince Mitchell and Willie  Mitchell, her best friend, Marsha Lee Jones, and a grandson, Otis Stewart.
