Albertha Kelly

Mrs. Albertha Kelly, 64 entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville Beach FL. Funeral arrangements are pending. Albertha D. Kelly was born on May 2, 1950, to the late Walter and Ethel Demery of Bloomingdale, Georgia. She was reared by her erandparents, Susie and Ambrack Elijah. At an early age, she received Christ as her pelSOnal savior, where she became a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Bloomingdale, Georgia, under the leadership of Rev. Willie Kinlaw, where she served as an Usher. She attended the public schools in Chatham County and graduated with the Tompkins High School Class of 1969. After graduation, she moved to Georgetown, Delaware, where she married Sammie l. Kelly. Their union was blessed with four children. After returning home she was employed at Candler Hospital for more than 20 years untfl her health slowly started to fail. We bid no farewell to Bert, for she has gone to a place where there is love, peace, joy, and eternal lire. God, being too wise to make a mistake and too just to be unkind, called her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Sammie L. Kelly, Jr. (Breanna) of Hinesville, GA, Walter Robert Kelly (Angelia) of valriw, Fl; two daughters: loretta Kelly of Brandon, FL. Jasmine Kelty of Tallahassee, FL; ten grandchildren; seven bro!hers: Albert Demery and Ernest Demery, both preceded her In death, lonnie Demery, Charlie Wiggins, James Graves (Christina), and Nathaniel Johnson, all of Savannah, GA and Ronnie Demery (linda) of Jacksonville, Fl; five sisters: Philinese Demery, who preceded her In death, Edna Wi!liams (Johnny) of Brunswick, GA, Stephane Nixon (Steve) of Atlanta, GA. Sylvia Shubert (Archie) of Jacksonville, Fl, and Marcella Johnson, of Savannah, GA, two aunts, Edna Cooper and Sara Graves, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, as well as those that she has touched along the way.
