Albert Dopson Sr

Albert Dopson Sr., 79 slipped into eternal rest on February 2, 2014 at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville SC.  Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday February 8th at Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church 445 Church  Road, Hardeeville SC, 29927 Visitation will be Friday February 7th from 7pm-8pm at Stiney ' s Funeral Home 70 Stiney Rd, Hardeeville SC,  29927.  Interment: Pelot Cemetery Albert (Fatty) Dopson, Sr., son of the late Archie and Marie Dopson was born on May 26, 1934, in Allendale, SC. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Dopson. In 1955, he joined in holy matrimony to the late Edna Mae Dopson. To this union three childran were born, one preceded him in death. Later in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and joined Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church. He was was employed by Union Camp and Georgia Pacific of Savannah, Ga and Harden Homes of Hiltons Head, SC. On Sunday, February 2, 2014,  God in his infinite wisdom summoned him to eternal rest at Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC. His memory will be cherished by his loving and devoted children:Albert( Vicki)Dopson, Jr. and Karen( Harry Johnson)  Jackson all of Hardeeville South Carolina; one loving granddaughter, Kia Jackson of Hardeeville South Carolina two special great grand children: Kai and Kaylor Jackson of Hardeeville.
