Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date by Stiney's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 15, 2012 atSt. James Baptist Church, 209 Beach City Rd., Hilton Head Is. SC.  Interment Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St.Beaufort SC. Public viewing form 9:00 am until hour of service.Abraham Johnson, Jr. dies at Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on Friday, August 10, 2012.  He was born on January 1, 1955, to the late Abraham Johnson, Sr. and JuliaGrant Johnson on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.He was preceded on death by his parents, Abraham and Julia Johnson; his three sisters: Ruth Ann Washington, Emily Cohen andThelma Ladson.Abraham graduated from H.E. McCracken High School in 1973. Afterhigh School he enlisted into he United States Army in 1976 and received his basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  He attended Beaufort Technical College and received his criminal justice degree.Throught the years ge was employed at Pelican Lumber Company and Espy Lumber Company.  He gave his life to Christ at a very young age and was very active at his church and in the MaleChorus. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved and only daughter,Ti-Ashia Mitchell (Andre) of Bluffton, SC; life long companion, Jo-Anne Mitchell of Bluffton, SC; two sisters: Shirley Macklin (Joseph)of Brooklyn, NY and Mary E.Simmons (Joseph) of Savannah, GA; two grandchildren:Trinity and Iyanna Williams, both of Bluffton, SCa host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, other loved ones and close friends.
